Corrine Jeannine Schillings Foundation Awards Scholarships to Girl Scout Alumna
Corrine Jeannine Schillings Foundation recently awarded 20 Girl Scout alumna who had earned their Silver or Gold Awards with scholarships for study of a foreign language or study abroad.
The foundation provides financial assistance to young women who are pursuing undergraduate college degrees in the study of languages, or who are studying in a foreign country as enrichment for their undergraduate college program. It is dedicated to the memory of Corrine, a Silver Award Girl Scout, who lost her life in the Baltimore Water Taxi accident on March 6, 2004.
Since 2005, the foundation has awarded 127 scholarships to Girl Scout alumna and including several Central Maryland Girl Scouts who have been awarded scholarships.
