Guest Blog: Girl Scout Katherine Reflects on Her Experience as A Distinguished Women’s Shadow Girl

My experience at the Distinguished Women’s Award Reception was so up lifting. I prepared with the other shadow girls to get ready for the event. The idea of giving a speech in front of more than 300 people seemed intimidating at first, but Girl Scouts prepared me well. One of my favorite parts of the shadow girl opportunity was meeting and connecting with so many different people. Molly Shattuck, Founder of Vibrant Living and I plan on keeping in touch. She inspired me to host a healthy food drive at my school so we are communicating about ideas for it.
