About GSCM

Welcome to the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland blog.

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland is an inclusive organization dedicated to the growth and empowerment of all girls so they become confident, courageous, strong and successful women. With a personal commitment to purposeful interaction between girls, volunteers, staff and board members, we are able to provide a girl-centered program grounded by the Girl Scout mission and Promise and Law. We will empower girls to face and meet new challenges, develop their self-esteem, create opportunities for self-actualization, and value and learn from diverse experiences and relationships. Girls will be encouraged to explore the world and appreciate other cultures. Working together with volunteers and corporate partners GSCM will continue to enhance our visibility in the community, realizing that public financial support is crucial to fulfilling our mission.

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland serves 25,000 girls throughout the central Maryland region, which includes Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties.

This blog will showcase the activities of Girl Scouts in our area through articles, photos, video, and audio, as well as serve as a source for news from the council and information on upcoming events. Join in the conversation by  leaving a comment or keeping us informed about what Girl Scouts are up to in your area.

We encourage your full participation while remaining mindful of our commitment to Internet safety.
