Girl Scout Collects First Communion Dresses for Less Fortunate

The Catholic Review reports that Girl Scout Molly collected 85 first communion dresses for the less fortunate for her Gold Award project. Molly said she wanted to help ease the expenses for families who maybe didn’t have the finances and make receiving first communion special for the girls. Corrine Jeannine Schillings Foundation Awards Scholarships to Girl Scout Alumna

Corrine Jeannine Schillings Foundation recently awarded 20 Girl Scout alumna who had earned their Silver or Gold Awards with scholarships for study of a foreign language or study abroad. The foundation provides financial assistance to young women who are pursuing undergraduate college degrees in the study of languages, or who are studying in a foreign country as enrichment for their undergraduate college program.
