Girl Scout Brownie Troop 2013 worked to expand Monsignor Slade Catholic School’s recycling program as part of the It’s Your World – Change it! Journey, the Maryland Gazette reported. The Brownies presented their project idea to their school principal and gained the support of their local state Senator and Councilman. As a result of the Brownies’ work, recycling containers were placed in the school cafeteria, each classroom, and faculty lounge, and a recycling dumpster was purchased for the school grounds.
