Girl Scouts of the USA announced Wednesday the launch of the official Cookie Finder App for the iPhone and iPod touch. The free app uses your location to show you cookie sales nearby, which are sorted by date, radius, or you can view them all on a map.
The app is just one of many ways Girl Scouts can use technology to their advantage during the Cookie selling season. An article in today’s Baltimore Sun features Central Maryland Girl Scouts who were top Cookie sellers in our Council last season and used different technological outlets–from sending out e-mails to making Facebook appeals– to boost their sales. Churchville Girl Scout Haley states in the article that she plans to use texting to boost her sales next year up to 1000 boxes. Awesome!
Did you use technology to help your cookie sales this season or are you planning to next season? We’d love to hear your ideas!
