Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Board Chair Sheela Murthy shares her story and insight as a woman immigrant and entrepreneur in the new book Immigration and Women; Understanding the American Experience.
Sheela grew up and attended college in India. She attended Harvard Law School and in 1994 founded her own law firm that specializes in immigration law.
The book provides an inside look at immigrant women who live in the United States today and how they describe their contributions to work, culture, and activism.
