Girl Scout Alexandra LaPierre was named the Capital’s Teen of the Week for her Girl Scout Gold Award project–a rain garden on the grounds of her high school. The rain garden was built to promote environmental literacy in her school and community. She was awarded her Girl Scout Gold Award in a ceremony hosted by the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Council on April 15, 2012.
