Girl Scout Media Day at the Newseum is right around the corner! You can spend a few hours or all day at the Newseum learning about the role of women in news history through stories, artifacts, photos and video. You’ll even learn more about the role Girl Scouts have played in journalism history!
You can watch a 4-d movie about the history of journalism, see pieces of the Berlin Wall, and experience what it’s like to be a TV anchor or weather reporter on TV! Special activities for the day include a scavenger hunt, and a current events game show complete with buzzers, light and prizes. You can design a T-shirt, button, bandana or bumper sticker celebrating your right of free expression.
Cost is $18 per person! This program is open to Girl Scout Juniors – Ambassadors. Tagalongs are also welcome. A patch is included. Learn more about the Newseum here. The program will last from 10 am to 5 pm.
JUST IN: Registration has been extended until Friday, January 13! Tickets are going fast though, so register online here today!
