To get ready for Girl Scouts’ Grand Slam on June 24, the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland staff brainstormed some new lyrics to the song ‘Take me out the the ball game!’ We picked our top three and would like you to pick your favorite! Once the favorite version is selected, we’ll include the song in a special promo for Girl Scouts’ Grand Slam! Learn more about Girl Scouts’ Grand Slam and get your tickets here.
Sung to the tune of ‘Take me out to the ball game:
Version 1:
Take me out to the grand slam
Take me out with the girls,
Buy me some tickets and wear some green,
This is the biggest event we’ve ever seen,
So root, root root, for the Orioles,
And come out to the game and jam
For it’s O’s, O’s, O’s all the way at the new Grand Slam!
Version 2:
Take me out to the Grand Slam,
Take me out to have fun,
Hiking & singing & eating smores,
Making new friends, who could ask for more?
We can sell cookies at the ball game,
As we celebrate 100 years,
Let us sell- sell- celebrate, at the old ball game!
Version 3:
Take me out with the Girl Scouts
Take me out to the game
Buy me some Thin Mints and Tag-a-longs,
Teach me lyrics of Girl Scout songs,
Let me root, root, root for the Girl Scouts,
We’re now 100 years old!
For it’s one, two, three fingers up, for the Bronze, Silver and Gold!
