Girl Scouts of Central Maryland is proud to announce that Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will be honored as one of the 2012 100th Anniversary Honorees at the annual Distinguished Women’s Awards Reception being held Thursday, April 26, at the Baltimore Country Club in Roland Park.

Mayor Rawlings-Blake joins five additional esteemed 2012 Distinguished Women Honorees: Ava Lias-Booker, Esq., Managing Partner,Baltimore Office, McGuire Woods; Harriett Dopkin, President, The Classic Catering People; Marianne Fishler, President, Foundry Wealth Advisors, LLC; Jeanette Glose Partlow, President, Maryland Chemical Company; Bonnie Phipps, President & CEO, St. Agnes Health Care. This year’s group of honorees marks 100 Maryland women who have been honored by the Distinguished Women Awards program.

All of the honorees have been paired with a high school aged Girl Scout who spends the day with their honoree mentor at their place of work. At the reception each girl introduces her honoree and shares the day’s memorable moments.

The Distinguished Women’s Award reception is a networking fundraiser and includes both a silent and live auction. In addition, there is an online auction associated with the event. This year the online auction goes live at 8 am on April 4; auction items include getaways and other unique objects. Proceeds from the event and auctions support leadership programs for girls.
