The Council sponsored placement troop, Troop 21215 chose to make a contribution to the local SPCA with their cookie proceeds. The girls made tie blankets to be used in the crates, cat dog and made a check donation of $150 to the shelter. When we visited the shelter the troop was given a behind the scenes visit. They were able to see the intake process for animals, talk to the on-staff veterinarian, pet some cute cats and dogs and learn how to help the shelter. This was a fantastic project for the troop and a great opportunity for them to take their idea of helping animals from start to finish. We are so proud of them!
The GSCM placement troop is designed to be a troop offering for girls that are on our waiting list to join a troop. We formed this troop because we currently have over 600 girls on our wait list.
