Wanda Draper to Emcee Distinguished Women’s Award Celebration

On April 23, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland will host the 35th Annual Distinguished Women’s Award Celebration, at the Baltimore Country Club in Roland Park.  Emceeing the event will be Wanda Draper, Director of Programming and Public Affairs for WBAL-TV.

Wanda Queen Draper has spent the past 24 years working for WBAL-TV in the public affairs department. Before that, she worked as a reporter and local editor for the Baltimore Sun, as an assignment manager and local show host at WJZ-TV, as the director of public affairs for the governor’s office, and as the director of community affairs with the National Aquarium in Baltimore.

She has won numerous local and national awards, and has bee cited by the National Association of Broadcasters for her outstanding achievements. Wanda serves on the board at Stevenson University, the Baltimore Jewish Council, Elijah Cummings Youth Project, and the Gala Committee for Journey Home.

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland is pleased to have her serving as the emcee for the 35th Annual Distinguished Women’s Award Celebration!
