WOW, what a fun day it was!
Ten girls from four regional Girl Scout Councils were invited to attend the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort Marina and Spa for a friendly S’mores Making Competition for National S’mores Day. Teams came from Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay, Girl Scouts of the Nations Capital, and Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.
Representing the team from Girl Scouts of Central Maryland were members of the Cook-E-Officer Club, selling over 1,000 boxes of cookies: Jenna Diehl, Olivia Wikstrom, Morgan Stolba, Erin Saunders, Lexi Bernstein, Lily Densmore, Alasia Ricks, Rhiannon Owen, Becca Denny, and Hermonie Ricks.
Once the sticky S’mores making ended, the girls enjoyed a wonderful lunch and then an Iron Chef Competition. Girls from each Council were teamed up to form eight “new friends” teams. The girls did an outstanding job creating new culinary delights with the ingredients provided.
We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Marina and Spa for hosting this great event and making S’more great recognition and memories for our girls!

That sounds like fun. What did they compete on in the s’mores competition? Presentation, taste, innovation?
