Kavita Shukla, inventor and founder of Fresh Paper, a natural remedy used to keep produce fresh, is in the running to win a 2016 Super Bowl ad! Kavita, a former member of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, first learned of this natural remedy from her grandmother in India. Kavita’s invention originated as a middle-school science project as a student in Howard County.
Kavita’s story is yet another real life example of Girl Scouts changing the world! Winning this $4 million prize and a spot on America’s biggest media stage will bring the global issue of food waste front and center to the American public. It will also showcase the power of a middle-school girl’s innovative science project and it’s impact on the world. However, in order for Kavita to win the 2016 Super Bowl ad, she needs our help. Voting concludes in just two weeks. Check out Kavita’s story and head over to Small Business Big Game to vote daily!
