This November, Girl Scout Cadette Taelor Ann Ray will represent the Eastern Shore in the 2015 Miss American Preteen Pageant. In addition to winning the Miss Eastern Shore Queen title, she also placed first in the talent competition and won the Community Service Award for her service in her Anne Arundel County community.
Taelor is a Cadette with Troop 957. She has completed her Bronze Award and excited to being working on her Silver Award. As a 6th grade honor student at Meade Middle School, she received the Presidential Academic Achievement Award last year, competes as a gymnast at Win Win Gymnastics, and loves to help other people in their fitness journey.
Taelor is currently working on launching a website where she will encourage other young people to live a healthy lifestyle, both physically and mentally. She is also excited to put together a Community Bash, in conjunction with a United States Marine Corp Unit, in 2016 , featuring a fun obstacle course, a one mile fun run, music and games. Recently, Taelor and another GSCM Girl Scout participated in the Cure Search Walk, which was on October 18th in Fairfax, Virginia.
