At the Girl Scouts Beyond Bars meeting on Saturday, December 3, Girl Scouts from Troops 7140 and 7856 worked with their mothers on a holiday Service project. Together the girls and their mothers made several fleece-tie blankets to be donated to Meals on Wheels.
In true Girl Scout fashion, the girls took advantage of an opportunity for entrepreneurship during their visit. Before the meeting began, girls from both troops set up a Girl Scout Cookie booth outside of the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup.
Way to go girls! Not only are you making the world a better place through your service, you’re also strengthening and showing off your entrepreneurial skills through the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
