The 2017 Annual Report is here!
We appreciate our Girl Scout families, friends, volunteers and donors for the generous support you provided our girls in 2017 and that you continue to provide today. Thank you for believing in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world. We are proud of our Girl Scouts who are leaving their mark and making a difference.

Early Bird Updates
GSUSA renewal and registration practices have changed in a way that could impact a troop or service unit’s ability to add new girls to be included in Early Bird incentives.
Who Can Renew or Register for Early Bird 2019?
Now – 07/10/2018 All current girl, volunteer and adult members, girls entering kindergarten in the fall and new volunteers and adults
Now – 06/30 New girls or adults purchasing extended year memberships
7/01 – 07/10 New girls entering grades 1 – 12
To allow new girls, other than those entering kindergarten, to join and count towards troop qualification, the deadline to complete criteria for qualification of Early Bird incentives has been extended to 7/10/18.
Click here for the full list of 2019 Early Bird Renewal incentives.
Check Your Troop’s Early Bird Status
Troop Leaders and SUMs will be able to keep track of whether or not they have met the criteria for incentives by accessing a self-check tool on line. The leader would input the troop number to get a weekly status for each criterion by a met or not met response. This tool will be available on the renewal page beginning on May 22nd.
Troop Finances & Banking Updates
Request a Bank Letter
To request a bank letter, a troop should have three registered, background checked and unrelated adults identified. The troop should also have the bank name, location of the bank branch and the contact information of the branch official that needs to receive the bank letter. Once that information is ready, the following steps will produce a bank letter:
- The troop leader accesses the bank letter request survey here and completes the form using the information gathered.
- Survey requests are viewed and processed weekly. It may take up to a week to process requests.
- Completed bank letters will be sent to the branch officials and to the requesting volunteer.
Please contact email@example.com if you have questions.
End of Year Financial Reporting
This year, End of Year finance reports will be collected through the VTK Finance tab. You can find the Finance tab in your Volunteer Toolkit, by clicking the MyGS button, logging in and clicking the Volunteer Toolkit prompt. The finance tab is to the far right.
The EOY financial report will be due 07/10/18. Troops completing the EOY report by 07/10/18 will receive a 10% coupon for Juliette’s Closet. There are two very important things to remember about this new system moving forward:
- It can only be submitted to GSCM once. You will be prompted to submit three times before officially sending it to council. Once you send it, there is no way to resubmit. To be sure that you are ready to complete your EOY finance report, there is the Financial Report Worksheet located under the Resource Tab on VTK. Use this resource to plan your EOY report effectively.
- The full finance tab can only be accessed and completed by the troop leader/co-leader who has an active 2018/2019 membership, an active BGC, and is active in this role in a troop. If you are a troop treasurer, and would like access to the Finance Tab, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 410.358.9711, to be temporarily placed in a troop leader or co-leader role until 07/10/18.
