Girl Scout Troop Gives Back to Local Humane Society

The Girl Scout Cookie Program funds adventure and service projects for girls!

When Girl Scout Daisy Troop 1326 was deciding what to with their cookie earnings, it was unanimous that they wanted to help animals. After talking it over, they determined that the Humane Society of Harford County was more than a worthy cause.

To get their project started, a few troop members visited the animal shelter to find out what the shelter needed and reported back to the troop with a shelter wishlist.

In true G.I.R.L. fashion, the troop turned their pet supplies shopping into a scavenger hunt and used a portion of their cookie sale earnings to donate to the shelter.

In addition to the supplies they purchased, the girls connected with Kuranda Shelterbeds and were gifted a dog bed and pad to donate.

Check out these shoutouts the troop received from the Humane Society of Harford County as well as Kuranda Shelterbeds.

Way to go, Daisies!
