Smart Cookies Think Outside the Box to Meet Goals & Make a Difference

Towards the end of last cookie season, Troop 1238 had 9 cases of Girl Scout Cookies left to sell. They were tight on time and weren’t able to commit to another booth. After some brainstorming as a troop and consulting with our in-house cookie bosses, they decided to get in contact with a local car dealership and ask them to buy the cases and donate them to Cookies from the Heart.

The troop was over the moon when Bill Kidd’s Timonium Toyota did just that. Lisa Kidd (pictured) agreed to purchase and donate 9 cases of cookies for a total of 96 boxes. Thanks to this donation, the troop was able to donate cookies to their hometown heroes at the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Company, and to the Long Green Volunteer Fire Company (pictured) as well as St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (Hydes, MD) who sent them to the food bank at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore City.
