Hereford Girl Scouts Use Cookie Profits To Give Back

The G.I.R.L.s of Daisy Troop 611 may be small but their hearts are big and filled with kindness for others in their community.

After working hard to sell cookies this season, the troop decided to use part of their profits to go grocery shopping and donate the food to the Hereford Food Bank to help restock their shelves after Thanksgiving.

With the help of their leaders, the girls embarked on their journey at Wegmans and split into 3 teams of 3 girls.  Each team had a shopping list and had to figure out how to stretch their money to buy the most food possible. They learned about price comparison, spending on a budget, and how to help others at some cost to themselves.

Once the shopping was completed, the troop delivered a cart full of groceries to the Hereford Food Bank. The girls had such a fun time while learning and helping others.
