Membership Updates

Extended Year Membership Opportunity

Looking to take advantage of summer programming and haven’t renewed yet? Consider getting an extended year membership! Renew by July 30th to secure your membership.

*Note: If you renew for a 2022 membership without having a 2021 membership your status in MyGS will say pending until October 1, 2021 (The new membership year).

This opportunity is open to all GSCM troops. Troops must attain 85% girl renewal by July 30th, register a troop leader and one other volunteer leadership position, complete the T3 form and submit the End of Year Troop Financial Report by July 30, 2021

The first 500 Girls who kaola-fy for early access between July 1-July 30, 2021 receive a free spring renewal patch!

Annual Grade up

On July 1st, GSUSA automatically moved all girl members’ grade up one level. Troops with only one grade level and girls with the same grade in the troop will also be moved up one level. If you need further adjustment to a grade please email membercare@gscm.org.

VTK Updates

On August 2, 2021 there will be new resources available on the VTK and at that time your current year plan will be archived.
The VTK will be down for a few hours on July 1, 2021 and August 2, 2021.
Access to the VTK will continue with current membership till September 30, 2021. Renewed members will continue their access to the VTK afterwards.

Distinguished Woman Awards and Auction

On July 22nd we will celebrate five local businesswomen for their exceptional leadership–at their place of work and in the community. Five high school age Girl Scouts applied and were selected to shadow an honoree for a day; a great opportunity to observe women’s leadership in action. If you would like to attend the event, taking place via Zoom, you can purchase tickets here. An online auction, with fun and unique items, is part of the event. Even if you decide not to attend, you can still bid on items that include: an autographed football and photo of Super Bowl XLVII MVP Joe Flacco; an outdoor adventure package that includes a two-hour kayaking lesson and introductory scuba session; an autographed jersey from the #1 ranked women’s soccer team, Football Club Barcelona and, exciting trips including two to the Caribbean. Cookie Rewards

This year, girls aren’t the only ones who received rewards for their entrepreneurial milestones. Troops that achieved the per girl average (PGA) of selling 215+ boxes were invited to send two adults to enjoy a Game Night hosted by CEO Violet M. Apple. They engaged in an evening of fun and games and some left the evening with some really awesome prizes. Megan won the full card Bingo game and went home with a new 40″ TV.
