These camp chats are a wonderful opportunity to answer those specific questions you have about Resident and Day camp this summer! We will deep dive into a few topics during each session and then open up for questions.
SCHEDULE
March 17: Forms and Health at camp
This session is for Day camp and Resident Camp. We will discuss what forms need to be submitted, our emergency procedures and how we monitor camper’s health.
March 31: Keeping in touch, Homesickness, and first-time campers
This session is primarily for Resident Camp. We will discuss different ways to communicate with your camper and staff, how we support homesick campers and how you can get your camper/yourself mentally ready for summer!
April 14: COVID at Camp
This session is for Day Camp and Resident Camp. We will discuss GSCM’s guidelines for the summer, what to expect and what we expect from you.
April 28: What to Pack
This session is primarily for Resident Camp. We will discuss how to help your camper pack, what to bring and what to leave at home.
May 12: A Day in the Life of a Camper, Expectations and Meet the Staff
This session is for Day Camp and Resident Camp. We will discuss the daily schedule of activities, what we expect of your camper, what we expect of you and what you can expect of us. We will also introduce this summer’s staff!

Coffee Chats
The management of the Membership & Retention Team is offering a virtual Coffee Chats 3 times a month for parents/caregivers to get questions answered and learn more about Girl Scouts of Central Maryland! Coffee Chats will take place every month as follows:
-2nd Wednesdays at 1:00pm
-3rd Tuesdays at 9:00am
-4th Thursdays at 4:00pm
Mental Health Mondays
Join the Say It Brave Collective on the 3rd Monday of each month to hear what mental health advocates have to say about important topics in mental health. Each month will take us on an inspiring journey toward mental wellness as we gather to discuss goals, challenges, and triumphs. All participants will receive a special patch to spread the message of hope and “Say It Brave”! Check out the Events Calendar to see the monthly topic and register to join us.
