Girl Scouts of Central Maryland has been moving ahead forging new paths for 60 years!
In the spirit of our 60th anniversary, we are introducing GSGo! (Girl Scouts Go!)– a guide to a year’s worth of programs and events for girls and volunteers. We will be providing an abbreviated 1-pager for SU managers at the SU kick-off. *The full guide will be launching in early October. We will also provide some of the offerings in the August and September Program & Events eblast. There will be plenty of opportunities to GSGo!

Row, Row, Row Your Canoe!
Join us for this fun-filled day on the water. It does not matter if you have canoed before, you will have a blast learning safety and paddle techniques while enjoying the beautiful Magothy River. Girl Scout Daisies must be accompanied by an adult registered with Girl Scouts of Central Maryland for this program. A patch is included. Girl Scouts Love State Parks
We guarantee that our outdoor enthusiasts will want to be a part of this exciting weekend! There will be a variety of programs (e.g., BioBlitz, orienteering, etc.) offered at Patapsco State Parks for you to participate. You may also make use of the hiking trails (e.g., Medicine Tree Trail, Sensory Trail, etc.) You may come and go as you please and this is NOT an overnight event. All participants will receive a t-shirt. All Girl Scouts will receive a commemorative program patch. Cost: $10.00 | When: Saturday, September 10, 2022 OR Sunday, September 11, 2022 | Where: Patapsco Valley State Park

Celebrate Camp Ilchester with us!
Sunday, August 21st from 2-5pm
5042 Ilchester Road, Ellicott City, MD 21043
We’ll have Smores, popsicles, and water stations on site. Feel free to bring your chair and/or blanket, SWAPS (if you are interested), a water bottle, lunch, and/or snack (optional). Come gather around the campfire, sing songs, enjoy a variety of activities, and enjoy being outdoors with your Girl Scout family!

New Opportunities for Older Girls: Become a Media Marketing Agent or Media Girl!
Attention 8th grade Cadettes and Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts! Are you a social media enthusiast? Do you like writing and telling stories? Have you envisioned yourself being a news anchor or reporter? Or, do you have a curious interest in any or all of these areas? If so, consider becoming a GSCM Media Marketing Agent! Cadettes we need you to be our Media Girls– Girl Scouts who will represent the council for media opportunities where a Girl Scout spokesperson is needed or when Girl Scouts are needed to attend events where a Girl Scout presence is requested. Not Your Daughter’s Camp In

Back by popular demand!
The 3rd “Not Your Daughter’s Camp In” for Girl Scout alumnae, volunteers, camp counselors, staff members, and all other grown-up Girl Scouts, hosted by the GSCM Alum Association!
Activities include high ropes, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, arts and crafts, archery and more! *This event is for guests 21 and over*

Orioles Game
Come out to Camden Yards to cheer on the Orioles with your Girl Scout Sisters! Be sure to rep Girl Scouts in your uniform and wear some orange and black to support our Baltimore Orioles! Participants will complete a scavenger hunt around Camden Yards and earn a fun patch. (As a note: this is not a drop-off event and supervisory ratios must be met.)

Coffee Chats
The management of the Membership & Retention Team is offering virtual Coffee Chats 3 times a month for parents/caregivers to get questions answered and learn more about Girl Scouts of Central Maryland! Coffee Chats will take place every month as follows:
-2nd Wednesdays at 1:00pm
-3rd Tuesdays at 9:00am
-4th Thursdays at 4:00pm
