Howard County Girl Scout Named 2012 Girl Gone Great

Rupini, a Girl Scout Ambassador from Columbia, Md. was named this year’s Girl Gone Great, WomanTalk Live’s scholarship essay contest. In her essay, Rupini wrote about her passion for community service and her vision to change the world by working in medical research. In addition to Girl Scouting, Rupini spends her time volunteering as a peer tutor and with the Teen Time After-School Initiative at Howard County Library.

The winner of the Girl Gone Great contest receives a $2,000 scholarship, a guest appearance on WomanTalk Live Radio on Saturday, March 31, 2012 and dinner with the show’s host, Ann Quasman, and recognition from the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center.
