Girl Scout Week: Be an Innovator!

Thinking outside the box is an Innovator’s specialty, so she’s always looking for a creative way to take action. She definitely knows how to get things done.

Today’s the day to get innovative by trying a hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activity!

Need some ideas to get you started? Check out our STEM videos on the GSCM YouTube channel.

You can also take a look at the many Girl Scout STEM Badges at girlscouts.org and try your hand at robotics, botany, coding, or kitchen chemistry! If you already have super STEM skills, reach out to younger girls or a troop and offer to help them with a STEM activity.

Additionally, we invite you Juliette’s Closet to learn the Girl Scout Promise and Law in sign language and to learn about the history behind sign language from The Hearing and Speech Agency. Meet us at 5042 Ilchester Road, Ellicott City, MD 21043 from 5pm–6:30pm

Showcase your participation by sharing the activities you did each day with us on social media! Here are links to our social pages and the hashtag we’ll be using:

Each day, we will select at random, five members (could be girl members or adult members) to receive a Girl Scout Week Patch. Winners will be notified by email and their patch will be mailed to their home.
