The Right to Vote Patch
This past Tuesday over 70 Girl Scouts from central Maryland participated in Legislative Day to see the rooms where legislation is discussed and turned into law. The girls toured the State House and had the opportunity to meet with their State representatives. Through out the day they learned about some of Maryland’s great political and civic leaders.
For girls and troops that want to learn more about the legislative process and the history around women’s suffrage, the Right to Vote patch activities helps girls build off the knowledge they have learned from their experiences at Legislative Day (or school) and understand the importance of exercising her right to vote!
